Waterloo Wind Band
Exceptional wind music. Dedicated musicians. Community connection.
Waterloo Wind Band is an all-volunteer community ensemble of experienced adult musicians from across Austin, Texas. Our members generally bring college-level musical experience or beyond, creating an ensemble that is both welcoming and artistically ambitious.
From classic concert-band works and marches to orchestral transcriptions, film, and theater music, we perform a wide range of engaging repertoire for audiences of all ages.
Music at a Higher Level
Waterloo Wind Band offers a rewarding musical home for instrumentalists seeking challenging repertoire and a serious, collaborative rehearsal environment. Our musicians share a commitment to preparation, musical growth, and presenting polished performances for the community.
The ensemble is primarily made up of players with college-level experience or greater, including current and former music students, educators, long-time community musicians, and accomplished players returning to their instruments.
Play With Us
If you are a skilled woodwind, brass, or percussion musician looking to perform high-quality wind literature with other dedicated players, Waterloo Wind Band may be the ensemble for you.
Members enjoy the musical challenge of professional-level repertoire along with the camaraderie of an all-volunteer community band. We value strong musicianship, reliable attendance, individual preparation, a positive attitude, and the shared goal of creating an outstanding concert experience.
